Triumphs were featured in standard types of artwork, such as paintings, but were also displayed on objects like coins, sarcophagi, and marriage chests called cassoni. Although some depict specific events or people whereas others are purely symbolic, all of these representations demonstrate the consistent importance of displaying one entity's victory over another throughout this period of 1500 years.
